Machines and Strings by Isaura String Quartet
Featuring internationally acclaimed artists Amy Knoles, Ajay Kapur, and Ulrich Krieger, Machines and Strings, Part II is an interdisciplinary project curated for REDCAT by the Isaura String Quartet. Presenting four world premiere performances in the program, Isaura unveils Ulrich Krieger’s completely revised quartet Up-Tight II, and joins the KarmetiK Machine Orchestra, directed by Ajay Kapur, for a new work by Amy Knoles featuring custom-built robotic musical instrument Lydia.
